Hello!

I’m Mark Beretta OAM — though most people know me simply as Beretts. For more than three decades I’ve had the privilege of working at the forefront of Australian sport and news broadcasting. Many will know me from my 22 years as the sports presenter on Channel 7’s Sunrise, where I covered Olympic Games, world championships, major sporting events and the stories that bring Australians together.

Most recently, as a former elite athlete, I’ve taken on an exciting new challenge as Chair of the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation’s Brisbane 2032 Olympic Bid Committee, leading the push to see my beloved sport included on the Olympic stage.

Named Australian Father of the Year in 2019, I live in Sydney and am a proud dad to Ava and Dan, and grandfather to little Arlo. Alongside my broadcasting work, I’m deeply committed to philanthropy and community service, including my role at Tour de Cure and in the Army Reserve. I bring warmth, credibility and purpose to everything I do.

Speaking

I bring energy, insight and authenticity to every stage. Drawing on more than three decades in broadcasting, sport and live events, I deliver keynotes, MC engagements and fireside chats that inspire, engage and connect with audiences. I speak about leadership, resilience, high performance, purpose and community — sharing stories and lessons from elite sport, global events and life’s challenges that leave audiences motivated and uplifted.

Media

I’ve spent more than 30 years telling stories across television, radio, documentaries and live events. From my 22 years as the sports presenter on Sunrise to covering 13 Olympic Games and hosting major national moments, I’ve been privileged to share unforgettable stories with Australians. Alongside my on-air work, I provide media training, communication advice and public affairs insights shaped by my television and Army experience. I also contribute to radio and podcasts, bringing audiences behind the scenes with conversations about sport, leadership and community.

Community

Community, service and giving back are at the heart of everything I do. I’ve been a Board Member and rider with Tour de Cure for over 16 years, helping raise over $158 million for cancer research, prevention programs and support. I also serve as an Ambassador for the RAISE Foundation, mentor young Australians, and hold the rank of Major in the Australian Army Reserve. Through these roles, I aim to inspire, support and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
